Laola IPX6 Bluetooth 4.2 Speaker

If you're looking at a picture of the Laola IPX6 Bluetooth 4.2 Speaker you may be thinking to yourself - where have I seen that before. That's probably due to the fact that the design of the Laola speaker, which is referred to by the manufacturer as the LR001, is the exact same design as the Neocore Wave A4 Tsunami. In fact, even in terms of functions, battery duration and amount of speakers, they seem exactly the same.

There was one different, though, that I found. And that is with the Bluetooth range. The Neocore A4 has a range of 20-meters, while the Laola LR001 is listed as having a range of just 10 meters. Other than that everything else, minus the different brand name and logo seems to be the same.

So who has ripped off who here.  Is rip of even the right term to use. I mean, the design and features are more than likely not copyrighted or trademarked, so I guess its just one of those things. Look at how many other products that are out there which almost exact replicas of each other. One quick example is with fitness trackers. They all look the same, and thousands have the same features. But which brand would you trust more, an unknown brand name from Asia, or a Fitbit.

I think that terminology applies here, with these two speakers. While they are both more than likely good (I haven't used the Laola LR001), I would definitely go with the more trusted brand, which is Neocore. Furthermore, I may be wrong, but I do have quite a good sense for detecting fake Amazon reviews, and the reviews for the Laola LR001 do seem a bit suspicious to me.

However, due to both models being so similar, the Laola LR001 could be exactly the same in terms of quality, too. So it may be worth purchasing if you were after a Neocore A4 but it is now sold out on Amazon. However, I believe the WAVE A4 is still available on the official Neocore website.
